Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. The music she grew up with was the old and classical boleros as well traditional ranchero, romantic as well as romance ballads. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to sing as well as play musical instruments in the early years by her mother. The singer received more formal training in singing in the year she turned 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a student and professional. After 2000, she moved in America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She currently performs classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Being a teacher and a musician, she is committed to several community initiatives due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her passion and love for classic Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to inspire a passion for younger generations for keeping this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
