MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream has been impacted by his global reach. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued in 2017 by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca the album that was the Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina the chart-topping second album, in the following year. Later in 2021, he performed on a duet TINI on her streaming hit single Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his older brother and mother are both musicians. In interviews he has described participating in music as compulsory. He learned how to play the saxophone, guitar, the ukulele and piano when he was an infant. The first goal was to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons from the help of a Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
